2024 LAF Medal & Founders' Award recipients
The 2024 LAF Medal is awarded to Frederick "Fritz" Steiner, renowned ecologist, author, Dean of the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design, and Co-Executive Director of the Ian L. McHarg Center for Urbanism and Ecology.
The 2024 LAF Founders' Award goes to the International Living Future Institute, a nonprofit organization working to build an ecologically-minded, restorative world for all people.
Both will be honored at the LAF Awards Dinner on June 6 in Washington, DC. The recipient of the 2024 LAF Legacy Award, Lucinda Sanders, will also be recognized for extraordinary service and contributions to LAF.
LAF confers four awards that recognize leadership toward achieving our mission of supporting the preservation, improvement, and enhancement of the environment.
Awarded annually, the LAF Medal and Founders' Award are lifetime achievement awards, our highest honors for individuals and organizations. Winners are announced in January and recognized at LAF's Awards Dinner in the spring.
The LAF Legacy Award recognizes past members of the LAF Board of Directors for extraordinary service and contributions to the organization and its legacy. The award is announced in the spring and is not necessarily conferred every year.
